Theology for Teachers is an initiative of the Breen Chair for Catholic Theology at John Carroll University. The idea for an annual workshop series emerged out of conversations with area high school religion teachers. I was looking for ways to support educational ministries in the diocese. They were looking for ways to strengthen their teaching. Our idea was to provide some space for (1) a kind of "theological refresher," (2) that would emphasize practical pedagogy, (3) through structured discussion in which teachers could share with one another what works and what doesn't work in the classroom. The past three years have brought together dozens of teachers from over 40 different high schools. We look forward to hosting the 4th annual T4T Workshop on October 18, 2019!
